Hey Anna!
Money. Money. Money.
Must be funny in a rich man's world.
Is one of my father's favourite songs back in the 70s.
The reality is:
You don't have to be a rich man (or woman) to think about money.
Your money mindset has an impact on your career.
The good and bad.
Money mindset 1: Fear of talking about money.
I was uncomfortable and afraid to negotiate my salary for a long time.
This fear caused me to be underpaid earlier in my career.
Money mindset 2: Fear of not having money.
I was always buying cheap things of poor quality to save money.
This fear caused me to waste time and more money trying to fix it later.
Money mindset 3: Fear of losing money.
I became anxious when I made more money. What if I lose it all?
This fear caused me to avoid programs to improve my skills (and actually not get fired).
Money mindset is personal.
But it has an impact.
Good or bad?
You decide.
So Anna, what's one thing you'll do with your money today? :)
With love (and courage),
Mei Phing xx
